For Chad's birthday yesterday, I decided to surprise him with a cake.
And a few cupcakes.
Needless to say, we needed a HUGE glass of milk to go with it.
Curt, Holly, and Tucker came over for some cake and fun. Karli was VERY excited to help Tucker jump in her jumperoo. A little too excited ... she made him cry. What can we say, Karli is intense!

Lisa, this is an awesome birthday cake! You need to post the recipe! I want to make it. :)
I am very impressed by that cake. Did you make it?
Emily - I found the recipe at this site:

For the most part, I really liked the recipe. The cake was pretty yummy, but the filling didn't come out as fluffy as I would have liked. Probably user error, but it was still delicious. I just made the giant cake by stacking four 9 inch cakes on top of one another and then carving them down at the end. I just followed the recipe for the cupcakes, and I actually liked those better than the cake. Delicious!
that is seriously the cutest cake ever!! i will definately be saving this recipe for our next birthday party! happy birthday chad---gf#5!
Lisa that is amazing!! I can't believe you didn't tell me you were making it!! Great job!!
OK so I just read the intense part, and cracked up!! Just the word I always use for Landon and Sydney. Looks like Karli is following suit.
