We got to spend the 4th of July weekend up in Salt Lake with Grandma and Grandpa Otteson and the Mahaffeys. We all stayed at The Residence Inn and had a non-stop fun time!
Right when we got to the hotel, Grandma took the kids on a walk to "scout out" where we were going to watch fireworks.
And of course, along the walk, there was an impromptu photo session.
These kids have no personality...can you tell?

Finally! After lots of walking and some sweating...they found the spot. Needless to say, when they got back to the hotel they were REALLY thirsty.

The next morning was the Annual Evergreen Parade!

After the parade, we headed to Grandpa Morrison's yard where we ate watermelon and popsicles, picked peas, visited and played.
Again, hard to see the personalities in these kids :)

Next, we headed to the Henriksen's for swimming and a barbecue.

Later that night, we went back to the hotel, Ashley went to sleep, Chad stayed to babysit, and the rest of us headed out to watch fireworks. Turns out "the spot" was pretty amazing. We got to see several shows going on at the same time across the valley. We enjoyed every minute of it!
