Art City Days 2010

I'm a sucker for a good festival. Springville celebrates Art City Days every June and I was excited to take Karli to a few of the festivities this year. On Monday we went to the library for the kids puppet show and outdoor games. On Friday we went to the Arts & Crafts Fair where Karli got her face painted for the first time. She got to choose what she wanted, and she wanted a "hark" aka "heart." She sat very still and did a great job. She loved looking at her heart in the mirror all day.

On Saturday we got donuts and went to the parade. This was our first parade of the season and Karli was a little nervous and shy at first, but by the end she was much more daring. She loved waving to everyone in the parade. Her favorites were the cheerleaders, the marching bands, the horses, and the free candy.

On Saturday afternoon, Curt, Holly and Tucker joined us for the Carnival. Tucker and Karli both loved the merry-go-round. Karli was so excited to ride her hoarsie!

Totally worth it to pay $2 for the merry-g0-round.
Paying $2 for the train ride? Definitely NOT worth it- as you can see from the tears. Maybe next year!
