Art City Days 2012

Rise & Shine Gals!! It's Springville City Days!

One of the few days a year Chad is excited to get up early!
First Stop, the Hot Air Balloons.
Even though it is ridiculously early in the morning, they give you free donuts and hot chocolate.
So, it's worth it!
Cutest Little Pink Noses.

From the balloons, we went straight to the Fireman's breakfast.

Pretty delicious breakfast.  Pancakes, eggs, ham, and Springville Meat Company's sausage.  Chad's favorite!

Friday morning, I went with the girls to the Craft Fair.
While Ashley played with art supplies, Karli had fun creating some fun things!
And of course, we HAD to get our faces painted!

Take a look at those cheeks!

It didn't take long for the ladybug to become unrecognizable, and for mere strangers to think that I was an abusive mother.  I swear...it was a ladybug!!

On Wednesday night, we headed to the Carnival for some fun and some food.
 The Popes met us there!

On Saturday morning, we went to the Parade with a few families from our neighborhood.
I love a good parade!!
 Show me the candy!

The last event was the "Chalk Around the Block" near the City Building.
We rode our bikes over and we got to decorate a square of sidewalk.
It was pretty fun to see what everyone was drawing.
The girls colored for a bit, but mostly enjoyed eating the cookies and playing the kazoo.
Chad was ready to confiscate the kazoo about 2.5 seconds after they gave them to the girls.
Where is the Excedrine Migraine when you need it, right?

 Whatevs!  We still had fun!
