Cakes de Fleur

If any of you know me pretty well, you know that I have a secret love for cake decorating.
My Aunt owns her own bakery, Cakes de Fleur, and she let us invade her bakery for an afternoon FULL of frosting, cake, and fun!
There were, of course, some rules.

Rule #1: All decorators must wear hair nets...especially when they look this adorable:

Rule #2: If you lick your fingers while decorating, you must go wash your hands.
**There was A LOT of Rule #2 going on...I'm just sayin'**

Rule #3: Have Fun:
There was also a lot of Rule #3 going on:
Karli loves decorating...and she's remarkably good for a 3 year old!
Sydney's "Working Hard" Face:
Quite similar to her mom's "Working Hard" Face:
Karli is super focused.
"Ta-Da!"
"Can I eat it now?"

When it comes to cake decorating, Landon is all Boy. He wanted nothing to do with the pink frosting, so Laurlee made him some green frosting and she found him some more manly things to decorate with. Landon made a great cupcake-- perfectly fit for a boy!
Sydney even made a cupcake for her favorite uncle in the whole wide world:
Ashley was a great audience and she even got to taste test some frosting. She was a big fan.
While we were ate Cakes De Fleur, I think we collectively decorated 28 cupcakes, ate 13 of those, washed at least 16 sets of hands, ate 4 cake balls, and smiled non-stop.

We left Cakes de Fleur with 4 delicious cakes, 15 decorated cupcakes, and 4 kids on a sugar-high!

Thanks Aunt Laurlee!!
When can we come back??
