Memories and Birthdays

In February, we took a family road trip to Colorado to celebrate the life of Charles Wade Smith, Chad's Grandpa. He passed away on February 18th, exactly 28 years (to the day) after his wife. We are so happy to know he is back with her again.
The funeral was amazing. It was great to hear all of the siblings speak about their Dad...I learned a lot about Grandpa Smith. I have been to quite a few funerals, but never a military funeral. It was fascinating to learn about all of his honors and to witness the military burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. What an honor it is to have known him.

While were in Colorado for the funeral, the hubby turned 31!

Of course, we celebrated by eating at Old Chicago.

What do you think he wished for?
A soda stream! Wahoo! Bring on the carbonation!
A trip to Colorado wouldn't be complete without a trip to Kohls :) Karli was following me around and when I stopped to check on her, she was behind me with a purse and sunglasses, modeling in the aisle. She spend a good 10 minutes picking out a bag, then walking across and getting a new pair of sunglasses, then striking a pose in the aisle. Then, she would repeat the whole process. I couldn't stop laughing! Love my little model.

Karli even got to try bowling for the first time! She was into it for about 15 minutes, then she just wanted to people watch! She, of course, wanted to "Do it myself!"
Always time for cuddling with Grandma!
