Over labor day weekend, my friend Alison got married in Santa Ana, California. I've known Alison since 3rd grade, and I was so excited that someone else from home was going to get married! I feel like I've been the only one for the last four and a half years! Chad and I decided to make a road trip to California for the wedding. We've always loved a good road trip, but we were a little worried how our new little addition would do. Turns out, Karli loves road trips too!! She did so well for being in her car seat for 16 hours! She also enjoys hotels which, she almost slept better in her pack 'n play than she did at home!
We left on Friday and made a stop every couple of hours so she could stretch her legs and play a little bit (and so her Dad could get a diet coke). She was always so happy to get out of her car seat, when she saw us coming she would smile so big and start kicking her legs like crazy. It was so cute!
On Friday night we stayed in Prim, Nevada, just outside of Vegas and we got to out to dinner with Willis and Avery. It was great to see them and their cute little girl, Halle! Here's a picture of Karli, just sleeping in!
On Saturday morning we made the rest of the drive to Southern California. After some naps and showers, we went to the wedding that night. It was great to see a lot of my friends from high school and reminisce about the good ole days. The wedding was beautiful and Karli was a big hit! Karli was pretty exhausted so we had to leave the reception a little early, but we had a great time. Here's a picture of the high school gang (and Karli).
On Sunday, we made our way back to Vegas and stayed at the Golden Nugget. We weren't too sure about it before we got there, but turns out, it was a super nice room! Karli got to go to her first buffet and she got to people watch with us. We think she enjoyed it!
It was the perfect little road trip and I was sad when it came to an end. We had a great time and when we got home, it felt like we had been gone for weeks. Karli was totally smiling when she got to reunite with her good old friends like the fan in our bedroom, and her bouncer.

So cute. I can't believe how much she has changed since Holly's shower! I love the picture of her in bed. So snuggly. Sigh.
You guys are daring! We still haven't dared to take the trip with Chase. Glad to hear you guys are doing so well. Karli is adorable!
You stinker!!! Youw were in VEGAS?? CALL ME next time and we can meet up!! Ha ha ha! I haven't seen you in forever...I guess I should call you when I go to Utah...ha ha! Anywayas...Karli is as cute as ever!!
Today is your birthday Lisa! You need to blog a big fat blog about yourself. Include lots of pictures of you growing up. Make sure you let everyone know that I think you are smart, cheerful, easy going, a detail person, beautiful, tall, athletically gifted, a wonderful mom, a lovely wife, a darling niece, fun to be with, sensitive to others, kind, helpful and trustworthy.
Also, make chad read this so I can tell him that he is so very lucky he married you. You are a wonderful person.
